APPLE’S iPhone 8 looks set to be released in September and, if these images turn out to be true, there will be plenty of reasons to upgrade.

Apple’s iPhone 8 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2017 and it’s not hard to see why.

With the US technology giant celebrating the iPhone’s 10th birthday this year they are thought to be pulling out all of the stops to create something truly special.

Rumours and leaks have so far suggested the new iPhone 8 will feature a giant AMOLED edge-to-edge display which will spread across the entire front of the phone.

A super-fast processor, wireless charging and new dual-camera are also expected to feature.

A recent video from Onleaks and Tiger Mobiles, that claims to show the iPhone 8 from every angle, appears to confirm many of the rumours and now another image has appeared online which gives Apple fans a glimpse of what might be to come.

The images reveal both a white and black iPhone 8 with the huge bezel-free screen creating a much larger space for content in a device that’s physically smaller.

Along with this display there’s also the vertically aligned dual camera which is thought to bring users the latest augmented reality technology.

One thing that is missing from the latest renders is the famous Touch ID fingerprint scanner.

It’s currently unclear where Apple will place this vital sensor although rumours have suggested it could be embedded under the display.

One thing that is clear is it looks unlikely that Apple will follow Samsung with a scanner on the rear of the iPhone.

Samsung has been universally criticised for its fingerprint placement on the flasgship Galaxy S8.

Although all of these changes look hugely positive they could cause delays for fans wanting to own a new iPhone 8.

According to a report from Digitimes only around three to four million iPhones will be ready to ship when the device is unveiled later this year.

Samsung are producing the OLED displays for the iPhone 8 and industry sources have predicted it will be difficult for Apple to ship up to 50-60 million OLED-based new iPhones in 2017.

If true it could mean many Apple fans having to wait until next year to get hold of this new smartphone.

One this that is certain is the iPhone 8 will be a major launch with even Apple boss, Tim Cook, fuelling speculation about what’s to come.

During the company’s quarterly earnings call earlier this year, Mr Cook said: “I think the smartphone is still in the early innings of the game,” the 56-year-old Apple CEO told investors during the earnings call.

“I think there’s lots more to do. Every year, I think it becomes more important to people’s lives, there’s more things people are doing with it.”

There’s no official launch date for the new iPhone 8 but expect to see it arriving sometime in September.
