About General services

Q1.Is it possible to repair without reservation?

Yes. It is possible.
However, in our shop, we will repair first pre-ordered customers preferentially, so we recommend you to make a reservation in advance if you wish to repair in the shortest possible time.
Also,  in the case of repair length of about 60 minutes, depending on the store, you can wait in the store as it is.
We can respond flexibly to customer’s needs, such as returning by mail at shop front reception.

Q2.How can I estimate time / fee of repair?

Please contact us by phone or inquiry form.
In addition, in the case of a repair where the power does not turn on and where it can not judge the failure part unless it is disassembled, we will repair only after investigating the inside and offer you With a quote for the repair.

Q3. Is it possible to cancel after the estimate?

It is possible.
Estimate is free.

Q4.How long is the repair wait time?

Depending on the repair content, it will cost about 60 – 120 minutes.
It varies depending on the inclusion of reservation. In the case of mailing / postal repair, we ship within 3 days from arrival.

Q 5. Do I lose the data on my phone?

No, basically it will not disappear.
Since our shop does not touch the data area at all on repair work, data will not disappear due to work.
Also, due to the damage of phones by customers, internal data has almost never disappeared.
However , since we do not repair after confirming all the internal data here, even if it is told that “some data has disappeared” after repair, we can not guarantee at our shop.
Also, due to the nature of the machine, it is extremely rare, but it may not move after disassembly, eventually it may be impossible to retrieve data.
If data can be retrieved before repairing, we recommend that you back up in advance.

Q6. Is it possible to repair by post?

Yes. It is possible.
If you wish to repair by post, please apply from the mailing repair inquiry form.
We will inform you of repair amount and repair time after that.

Q7.Is there a protective cover or case?

Yes, we also sell cover and replace cases.
Some stores do not sell this, so please contact the store you want first.

About payment / charge

Q8.Payment method? Can I use a credit card?

In addition to cash, payment with the following credit cards is acceptable.
· VISA
· MasterCard
· JCB
· AMERICAN EXPRESS
· Diners Club
· DISCOVER
(In addition, some shops do not correspondent to credit card payment, so please contact the shop where you want first.)

Q 9. Can I receive a receipt?

Yes we can issue.
If you wish, please ask for receipt during repair request or payment.
If the repaired terminal used by company or corporation, it is also possible to make the address a corporate name.
In the case of mailing repair,  it will be bundled together when returned.

About warranty

Q10.Is it possible to use the carrier (docomo, au, SoftBank) or manufacturer’s warranty?

No it isn`t.
Most of them will be replace the body of the smartphone itself, so if you do not backup your data yourself, the data will be permanently disappeared.

Q11.Is there a guarantee after repair?

At the time of starting repair by disassembly, it is out of the manufacturer’s regular warranty, but our own warranty is provided at our shop.
Only parts exhanged at our shop are guaranteed for “One Month After Repair”.
The warranty content is free repair / parts exchange in the case, symptoms or reactions are seen on the terminal, it is not covered by the warranty.
· There is a reaction of submersion or water wet.
· When is a repair trace at another shop.
· Glass is broken even in part of the screen or an abnormality occurs in the liquid crystal display If you Have
· Marked damage on the terminal even if it is not on the screen.

· When the operation can not be performed.

· When the terminal is changed to a terminal different from the screen repaired terminal due to model change etc.

About personal information

Q12.Am I need to worry about personal information?

We understand your concern well.
We have a high awareness of information security management and will not touch any personal information / data of customers within devices when repairing.
Also, it is limited to shop front repair, it is also possible to repair in front of you in response to your request.

Water Damage Service

Q13.Does the water damage service inc. Water damage sensor replacement?

No, the water damage service includes all parts and labor required to the get phone back to fully functional condition but does not include water damage sensor replacement.

Q14. Does the water damage service inc. Logic board replacement?

Due to its high cost, the logic board has been irreversibly damaged, we will not be able to repair it and you will be refunded.

Q15.I dropped my phone in some liquid, should I bring it in?

Absolutely yes. Through the salt in water is very corrosive and can not bringing in your device in for a water damage repair. It is can be repaired, and if it can not be will rephired, and if it can not you will pay nothing so there is nothing to lose.

Q16.I dropped my phone in salt water, is it worth bringing it in?

Sure, please just call a customer service representative at 0120-961-909 to make the proper arrangements. We are not responsible for packages lost in transit back to the customer if they supply them own shipping label or shipping account.

Q 17. What should I do if my device falls in water or other sort of liquid?

First and foremost, do not attempt to bring the phone on the other side of the can we have it.

Q18.My device fell in water, should I let it dry out to see if it works?

It is very uncommon and not a very outcome. It is more unexpected that corrosion and residue deposits will begin to form on the logic board making the repair process more difficult. We recommending bringing / sending the device in as soon as possible as if it is still wet as our chance at repairing the device.

Q19.My device was water damaged and now everything seems to work fine except one function, do I still need the full water damage service?

Yes. Though only one function may not be working, a lower dock connector assembly, the lower button is not functioning properly, the issue may be caused by the home button flex, the lower dock connector assembly, If the device has not been water damaged, a home button button, it is almost always raised by the home button. Rules do not apply. This why we offer a water damage service specially tailored for water damaged devices.

Q20.How long does water damage repair general take?

This estimate can vary depending on the extent of the damage to the logic board and other components.

Q21.What if you are unable to save my water damaged device?

If you are unable to repair your water damaged device for refunded minus the cost of return shipping plus technician fee (¥3,500+Tax), and your phone will be returned.

Q22.Do you offer a warranty on the water damage service?

No, we don`t offer a warranty on the water damage service so please back up your phone immediately after repaired.

Q23.What does the warranty covers?

Our 30-day warranty covers any problems caused by the early bad except water damage or the phone didn`t work before repair.

Glass & LCD Replacement Service

Q24.After dropping my phone its became unresponsive, does the glass repair fix this issue?

We can`t give you a answer without check your phone, sorry.

Q25.How do I know if I need the LCD repaired or not?

If the actual screen of the phone is bleeding, white, or has any dead pixel then you are going to need to select the LCD & Glass option as the LCD has suffered irreversible damage. Still not sure? Send a picture of the current condition Of the phone while it is powered on to us and we will do our best to diagnose it.

Q26.The glass on my phone is completely shattered & chipping off, is the glass replacement all I need?

Yes, the glass replacement service will replace the entire glass face, so the extent of the damage to the previous glass does not matter.

Q 27. Do you offer warranty on screen repair services?

Yes, all parts and repair services include a 30 – day warranty. This warranty covers only the part (s) that are replaced. It does not cover any any damage to the phone or components that were not replaced.

Apple Parts

Q28.Are your parts are Original Apple or OEM?

All of the parts we use come from the similar vendors in China. So They are parts of “from Apple” they are manufactured to the same strict OEM specifications and we are often unable to tell the difference.

Repair Locations

Q 29. Do you have any retail shops that I can bring in my device?

We currently have 6 location in Japan. If you are trying to find out what you are repairing No location near you, feel free to utilize our mail in service.

Q 30. Can my phone be repaired while I wait in your shop?

Water damaged devices generally need to be dropped off for for wait in 60 minutes or less by for wait in 60 minutes or less after for wait in for water experiencing technicians. 1-3 hours.

Q31.Are the prices the same in all repair shops & online?

Yes, all prices found on Repair king Japan are the same at all our local repair locations.

Q 32. Do I need to make an appointment to bring my device to your shops?

No appointment is needed, tho in case of prior to customers. Simply stop by during our hours of operation and we will be happy to assist you with any repair needed.
